Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes the information collected by Bytes Arithmetic LLC through our mobile applications (Geometry Pad and Geometry Pad+) and this website, and how we use that information.

Personal Information

You can use our applications without creating an account or giving us any personal information. Your documents stay on your device and in the storage locations you choose, such as the Files app and iCloud Drive; we never receive them.

Usage Statistics and Crash Reports (Optional)

When you first open the application, it asks whether you want to share anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. Nothing is sent unless you agree, and you can change your choice at any time with the Share usage data setting in the app.

If you agree, the application sends:

• Usage statistics: which tools you choose, which shapes you build from formulas, which formats you share or export to, and when the Premium purchase screen is shown and whether a purchase completes.
• Crash reports: technical details about an error or crash, such as where in the application it happened.
• Technical information that comes with both: the application version, the device model, the iPadOS version and language, and an approximate country.

This information is tied to a random identifier for your installation of the application, not to your name, email address or Apple Account. It never includes the contents of your documents, your precise location or your device’s advertising identifier. We use it only to understand which features are used and to fix problems, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect and process this information on our behalf. Google keeps it for a limited time under its retention settings.

Purchases

Purchases (Geometry Pad+ and the Premium in-app purchase) are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

Our applications and website comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and if in the event that a user identifies himself or herself as a child under the age of 13 through a support request or through any feedback, we will not collect, store or use, and will delete any information that has been provided.

Requesting Support

If you submit a support request, we will receive your email address and other information about your device and application related to your support request. We will not rent, sell or share your email address without your express consent.

Contact Form

If you write to us through the form on this website, we receive the name, email address, organization and message you enter, and use them only to answer you. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam, and your message is delivered to our mailbox by our email provider, Resend.

This Website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the website from abuse. The website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. It stores only your choice of language (in a cookie) and of light or dark theme (in your browser’s local storage), so that it remembers them on your next visit.

We may provide links and/or connections to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites.

Your Choices

You can turn usage statistics and crash reports on or off at any time in the application’s settings. To ask about, correct or delete information you sent us by email or through the contact form, contact us as described below.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. If we make changes in the way we use your Information, we will notify you in advance of posting by email. Such modifications will become effective on the date set forth in the email.
